About Travis Jay

Nominated for The Leicester Mercury Comedian of the year in 2016, Travis Jay is a stand-up comedian, actor and radio presenter who has been performing on the comedy circuit since 2009.

After winning the Jumpoff TV Comedy competition in 2012 he went on to perform for BBC 1Xtra and made an appearance on BBC Radio 4’s Stephen K Amos’ Life: an Idiot’s Guide.  Travis was a presenter on ‘The Beat London’ from 2016 - 2018 where he presented his radio show ‘The Vibe’.

Travis has performed across many prestigious comedy venues, including The Comedy Store, Comedy Cafe, The Barbican, and Hackney Empire, internationally at The Royal Theatre Carre (Amsterdam) and The Palm Hotel in Dubai.

In 2017 Travis Jay closed the year out performing to a sold out crowd at the famous West End Palladium Theatre as part of the ‘U Got Jokes’ Comedy show, with his performance receiving particularly high acclaim. Travis continues to go from strength to strength, in 2018 performing alongside his hero Dave Chappelle in a filmed production ‘Dave Chappelle and Friends’ Directed by Stan Lathan.

As an actor Travis has appeared as TJ the Barber in ‘Brothers with No Game’ (London Live), has worked with Hollywood actor Aml Ameen on the film ‘12’ The Damaged Race (2012. AmeenDreem Entertainment).

A creative, animated, and intelligent performer, Travis has built a reputation as being an entertaining and sometimes controversial story teller. Both Comedy Specials ‘The Funny Thing Is’ (2014) & ‘Travis Jay: One Night Only’ (2015) were a sold out success.

Travis Jay then recorded his special ‘Seriously Joking’ (2017) which was performed to a Studio audience at the YouTube Offices.
